Upon graduating from Illinois State in 1982 Jim grabbed every opportunity to compose music. Starting as an audio mixer to get in the “biz” he got his feet wet composing jingles & industrials for the likes of United Airlines, Payless Shoe Stores, Lazyboy Gallery and Video King.  Scoring TV shows “American Justice”, “Storm Stories”, “Mobsters”, many Biography and History Channel programs followed along with providing music for games such as “Dragon’s Lair”. Jim’s two children inspired him to start composing fun and educational scores for school bands, choirs, orchestras and small ensembles.
